This is the time of year when we take a moment to look back at our year, look forward and think of what we want in the coming year.
Here’s a round up of year end posts I’ve found entertaining.
The Simple Mom Blog has a list of 20 questions to ponder before making any resolutions. My favorite was no. 16, “What was your most challenging area of home management?” How do I answer that? It should be more like what wasn’t the most challenging area of home management? The other question I liked was no. 17 “What was your single biggest time waster in your life this past year?” Again, what wasn’t? Probably the internet, surfing blogs I love like these, browsing Splitcoast Stampers for Stampin Up ideas. I’m thinking of writing out this list and answering it, but no 16 depresses me so I might skip a few.
For a fun round up, Cathy Zielske has a great round up of her best of blog posts. And if you haven’t seen her scrapbooking indoctrination video, you must it’ll make you wet your pants! This was a parody of the Tom Cruise video that was leaked to the net.
Ali Edwards has posted her One Little Word for 2009. I’ve done this the past couple of years, can’t remember what they were because I obviously didn’t do much with my inspired words. Maybe this year will be different!
Here’s what I am NOT resolving to do:
I am not making any weight/health resolutions, I am not committing to reading any good-for-me-books (as in not fun fiction books). I will not learn to bead or knit.
So here’s a few of my resolutions.
I resolve to read any of Nora Roberts new books. I also resolve to re-read many of my favorites.
I resolve to become very proficient w/my iphone. I also resolve to text message more.
I resolve to try the following:
clean up my crafty area so it doesn’t look this bad
|From Christmas 08|
do more scrapbooking, buy less stuff, make more cards, eat more veggies and less bad food, and not eat fast food. I also resolve to try not to yell at my hubby or kids, I will try to be more patient with the world in general and my family in particular. I will try and get some of the chaos in my life under control. I will try to follow the Fly Lady’s advice of keeping my sink clean every day. I will also start with the baby steps Fly Lady has set up here.
So there it is, out w/the old and in with the new. Wish me luck! Do you have anything you resolve to do or not do?
